YELLOW PAGES Parallel universe
This series delves into the exploration of "discovery" by searching for one's own images by color, AI-linguifying the images, and combining text with images to generate photos that weave together current discoveries. Inspired by the worldwide concept of the color yellow, as seen in the Yellow Pages of phone books printed on yellow paper, the artist focused on images stored in the online cloud service Google Photos by inputting "yellow" for search. Interestingly, the images Google identified as yellow included colors the artist hadn't initially considered. These photos were then reorganized into a photo book. The unexpected can occur for humans in organic spaces as well as in AI-powered search systems. The color one perceives may differ from how Google or someone else perceives it. There's a joy in photography akin to discovering the unknown. Recording the feelings experienced here and embracing the unexpected, this uniquely compiled work continues to explore the mysteries lurking infinitely in our everyday lives.
