that-is-about-to-appear
The exhibition will showcase the #illusion series, a body of work in which blurred images that appear during the Instagram loading process are printed on mirrors. While Instagram is loading, a circle appears in the centre of the screen and for a short time, until the loading process is complete, a neutral image, unconnected to time or place, floats on the screen to stimulate the viewer's imagination. This series is an attempt to capture these many illusions that are posted on a daily basis and to fix them as traces. Since humans live by visual information, the inability to perceive things clearly may allow us to actually see what we want to see. In this context, the exhibition space will be constructed in the image of a mirror, with the aim of reflecting the viewer.
